Attendance – module overview

The Attendance module is used to record clock-in and clock-out, absence requests (holiday, sick leave, home office, etc.), and reports – who worked when, how many days have been taken from leave funds, and a monthly calendar view. Module settings – absence types, users with access, and fund limits – are configured in Settings under Attendance.

Why use the module

You get attendance and absences in one place: employees record clock-in and clock-out (optionally with GPS if required), submit holiday or other absence requests, and approvers approve or decline them. The report shows worked days and hours, the calendar gives a visual overview by month, and export to a spreadsheet helps accounting or HR.

What the module offers

  • Attendance report – select month and year, view clock-in/clock-out (or generated hours), summary of worked days and hours, funds (holiday, sick, etc.), and balance. You can add today’s clock-in/clock-out from the report and export to Excel.
  • Absences – list of your absence requests with filters by status and year. New request by choosing type, date range, and optional attachment. In the request detail you can approve or decline (if you are an approver).
  • Calendar – monthly view of attendance or absences, with export to Excel.
  • Attendance settings – in Settings select Attendance. Tabs: Settings (default approver, GPS), Reasons (absence types including “No limit”, “Counts as worked?” etc.), Users (who has attendance enabled, per-user fund limits for types that use a limit).

Accessing the module

In the sidebar menu select Attendance. Submenu: Report, Absences, Calendar, Shift planning and Month closing. Your own attendance (monthly fund with calculation, check-ins, balance, time account, funds and vacation entitlement) is also on the Attendance tab of your Profile. Module settings are under Settings → Attendance.

"Attendance only" user type

The system also supports a special Attendance only user type. This user can access only attendance pages (Report, Absences, Calendar), does not see other modules in the sidebar, and gets an info banner about limited access.
