Requests – module overview¶
The Requests module is used to manage requests based on configurable forms – e.g. leave requests, purchase requests, expense approval requests. Each request type has its own form (defined in Settings), its own approval workflow, and optionally a limit (e.g. annual budget per user). The user fills in a request; approvers see it in tasks or in the Requests module and approve or reject.
Why use Requests¶
A single module for different request types – one entry point, different forms and rules. Limits and usage overview (e.g. how much of your annual limit you have used) are in the system; approval runs via tasks or the list of requests to approve.
What the module offers¶
- Request type overview – list of available forms (request types). Clicking a type opens the list of your requests of that type or creating a new request.
- My requests – for each type, a list of your submitted requests (date, status – pending, approved, rejected). Filter by year and status. New request (fill in the form per type), view detail and attachments.
- Request management – for approvers, list of requests to approve (managed requests); approve or reject, export.
Limits¶
If a request type has a per-user limit (e.g. annual budget), the list of my requests shows: used / remaining / total for the selected year. Limits are configured in System settings (Requests module, form types).
Accessing the module¶
In the sidebar menu, select Requests. The request type overview or list opens (depending on implementation). If the module is not in the menu, check the Requests module license.
Other pages in this section¶
- Request types and my requests – form selection, my requests list, new request
- Request management (approval) – list to approve, approve, reject, export
